1. I can definitely see myself in Lena's shoes. I have always been seen as different by others for various reasons, just like her. That is what made this enjoyable to read. Many times I feel the same way as her.
When it comes to the "Cousins memoir, not really. I have never had to say goodbye to a person who I had intense feelings for.
2. I think both memoirs show more than they tell. Lena spends a bit more time with the setting than the "Cousins" memoir, which I enjoyed. I do wish the "Cousins" memoir spent a bit more time with the visualization of the scene.
3. in Lena's case, yes. She seems to remember even some of the most random details about her story, like what was in the therapists' room or his or her hair color.
In the case of the "Cousins" memoir, not as much. It feels like she is just assuming a little bit, especially when she talks about "the look" she shared with her cousin. She doesn't know for sure what that means.
